iSystain’s Sustainability Reporting solution implements a process to gather your organisation’s environment, social, economic, operational and governance related data to produce any style of Sustainability, ESG or Social Impact Report. Having all this data in one location ensures you have the information needed to plan, track, measure and report on your sustainability performance, as well as implement strategies for improvement.
iSystain’s structured data capture library includes starter data sets with no restrictions on the number of data fields. Each KPI can be configured to the unit of measure, frequency, aggregation type, precision point, or threshold relevant to the data collection. The site template option enables data collection profiles to be tailored to each site.
We implement data collection options to best fit how your company operates. Options include simple statistics direct data entry, activity/transaction style, questionnaires, import services, custom-developed data connectors, exposed WCF or SOAP based web services, and collection through another iSystain solution to convert to KPI data.
iSystain’s real-time Data Monitor makes it easy to view the status of your data collection activities. This is particularly useful for larger teams who collect information for sites spread around the globe.
Monitoring the data collection process is the responsibility of our alert system. Alerts can be configured to detect missing or incorrect data. Each alert can be configured to take corrective action. This might be as simple as sending out a notification email, or as complex as setting up an event in our event management system.
Workflow options keep things moving by prompting teams to complete their data collection, review, and verification steps. Our Bulk Report Distribution tool automates the emailing of reports to multiple users across the organisation, adapting each report to their scope. Once generated, each person is notified by email. They do not have to be system users to receive a copy of these reports.
Targets can be defined for specific focus areas and KPIs, and can be based on historic values or a literal value. The system also assesses the likelihood that the target will be achieved.
The formula library includes many built-in calculations such as CO2, total CO2, total energy, energy by scope, CO2 by scope, uncertainty, heating days, and cooling days. It can also be extended to include specific calculations that are relevant to your business such as production volumes, income workforce, or property metrics.
Our advanced action manager and workflow engine are designed to drive continuous improvement. Our marginal abatement tool is useful in showing which of your projects is most cost effective. This tool is also able to show the relationships between your targets and goals and the projects needed to implement and achieve that target or goal.

We’ve been listening and working hard to provide an open and user-friendly way of integrating iSystain data directly with your preferred BI platforms such as Power BI, YellowFinBI and Tableau.
Due to the unprecedented demand for high quality, agile BI tools, BI vendors have been forced to adopt standards to meet their client's demand for openness. Also, given the push towards internet based solutions, BI vendors have had to make their tools work seamlessly and quickly with large remote data sources. iSystain is no exception. Our entire client base accesses their iSystain data via the internet. This is why we have chosen to use the newer Tabular BI model rather than the traditional Multidimensional OLAP cube.
Accessing your data from your preferred BI platform is as simple as pointing it to a URL on the internet. From there we've done all the heavy lifting to massage your data into an easy to understand data model. If you want to see 'Total Events' just drag 'Total Events' onto your chart. We've made every effort to make our BI model easy to understand and offer a huge number of industry standard KPIs out of the box, so you should never need to build your own.

iSystain's Report Designer is tightly integrated with reporting standards. This ensures only relevant information is included in each report.
The primary offering of iSystain's new BI framework is access to your own data in a format that is compatible with most BI desktop and mobile tools. If your company has already implemented a BI strategy internally, iSystain BI framework can be easily integrated into this strategy, as it conforms to all current prominent BI data standards.
Beginning in 2019 we’ve started implementing Power BI dashboards directly into iSystain. These will not be user configurable but will offer slicing and dicing and drill-downs.
One of the better BI desktop and mobile tools out there currently is Power BI. Power BI was developed by Microsoft and as iSystain was also developed entirely using Microsoft technologies, coupling Power BI to iSystain is very simple.
